The camera follows your cursor
Turn on Zoom on clicks and PointerStudio builds the zooms from your clicks. Set the zoom level, choose how smooth each move feels, and let the view glide after your cursor.
- You choose the zoom level, for example 1.80×
- Four moves: Smooth, Gentle, Snappy or Even
- Add or delete any zoom on the timeline
A background that makes it look finished
Pick a gradient, a wallpaper, a color or your own picture. Round the corners, add a frame and a shadow, and choose the shape: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 4:3 or 21:9.

Is PointerStudio really free?
Yes. Every feature is free today, with no watermark and no time limit. The app mentions that a Pro plan is planned for later.
Windows warns me when I install. Is it safe?
PointerStudio is new and the installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may say the publisher is unknown. Select More info, then Run anyway. The first start can take a few seconds while Windows Defender scans the app. Download only from this page or the official GitHub release.
Does it work on a Mac?
Not yet. PointerStudio runs on Windows 10 and 11 today.
Where are my recordings saved?
On your computer, in the folder you choose in Settings. Use Change to pick another folder, or Show folder to open it.
Can I record my microphone?
Yes. Choose your microphone before you record. In the editor you can set the volume, add fade in and fade out, and even out the loudness.
Does it update itself?
Yes. PointerStudio checks for new versions in the background and shows a banner when one is ready.
